I know spring just started so it seems a bit early to be thinking about bathing suits. However, if you are following me on Twitter/Instagram, then you know that I have been making quick escapes from California to visit my boyfriend in Honolulu. So more often than not - I have to be bathing suit ready at all times. Another fun fact: I don't know how to swim. I know...it's just ridiculous. So I took it upon myself to finally get my act together and learn. There are a million reasons why everyone should know how to swim, but if you want to figure out why it took me twenty five years to learn then search for my mom and she will be more than happy to explain.
So before actually learning to swim I didn't really have a reason to buy or own a bathing suit. I kept a basic black suit just in case, but now I actually have reasons to add more to my collection! Here are some suits that have caught my eye because of the fun print and/or the style of the suit looks like it could be flattering on most body types.
vest H&M (old but similar here) | tank top F21 | skirt Brandy Melville (but I also like this similar one because it has more tie dye) | sunglasses F21 | jewelry Topshop square earrings, F21 cube stud (from this pack), DIY bracelet (tutorial from Honestly WTF) | bandaid...free
jacket H&M (recent on sale for $20) | shirt Forever 21 (I like this one) | jeans Marshalls (similar style here) | shoes Nordstroms (old) | sunglasses H&M | jewelry BaubleBar, thrifted bracelet, Stella & Dot earrings, DIY pearl necklace | satchel 3.1 Phillip Lim
I got this jacket recently on sale at H&M and wondered how I could wear it without looking like I worked the front desk at some fancy schmancy office. Luckily, during a recent closet clean out, I rediscovered these jeans that were perfect to dress down the jacket.
